How to make the model perfect bed

When wanting to make the model perfect bed, use these steps.
1.  Keep it simple.
Buy a matching set.  Now you can go to the store and purchase matching sheets, pillow shams, and duvet covers/ comforter and pillows.  You can add your own accent pillows and/ or a lightweight quilt at the foot of the bed to add color.
2.  Iron your sheets.
You can send them out to be pressed or do it yourself with plenty of starch.  It adds a polished touch.
3.  Have nice folds.
You should turn your top sheet back at least 14".  If you place a quilt or light blanket at the foot of the bed, fold it in thirds in a Z pattern.  The Z pattern makes it look fluffy through out the day and easy to use at night.
4.  Layer your pillows.
Standard shams go closest to the headboard/ wall.  2-3 European shams next.  Then some decorative pillows to show off your personality.  Don't go overboard!

Duvet Covers are great for apartment dwellers

After moving into a townhouse here in New Jersey, my dryer is on top of my wash machine. The two if put together would be the size of the washer I left behind in Florida. My comforter doesn't fit in either the wash machine or dryer so it's either pay to go to a laundromat and wait, which I really don't want to do. Go to New York to use my fiance's parents' washer and dryer which is going to be much more costly and time consuming than if I went to the laundromat. Or what I did was get a duvet cover (which Marion can make) and a duvet insert (which Marion can get for her customers). It's AWESOME! I simply take the cover off and throw it into the wash which it fits in, take it out, throw it into the dryer which it fits in, and then put it back on. PLUS, the insert for right now is thin for the summer and we purchased a heavier one for the winter which rolls up rather nicely. And to prevent the insert from bunching, I used my tack gun (which Marion can get her customers or you can purchase from here and watch a video here about it) to keep the insert's corners in the duvet corners. So nice to have.

Jenn has left Florida, but not the company

Hey everyone,

I have left Florida, but am still working for Wayne and Marion doing their internet marketing.  I'm starting a company where I do small businesses like Wayne and Marion's internet marketing.  I also started a blog giving tips and ideas on how to do internet and social media marketing.

If you have need for my services or know someone who does, don't hesitate in contacting me.

Wayne and Marion are still here taking orders for custom slipcovers, upholstery, window treatments, table cloths, bedding, cushions, pillows, and so much more.  It's amazing what Marion can do with fabrics to make a house a home.

Updating website

I updated the website today so if you were trying to use it and kept finding the home page changing, that was why.

More changes are to come.  I'm wanting to have a marquee going across the bottom of the products we sell and to change the wording a bit.

I'm also going to make a video on how to use the website and what's on it.

Stay tune for the changes.

Buying new isn't always cheaper or worth it

I have many customers say that it's cheaper to buy new, which I've always agreed on.  I thought people slipcovered and upholstered furniture because they wanted it to fit their style more than retail could offer, because the furniture had sentimental value, or because the quality of the piece couldn't be found in stores.

I was wrong.

After pricing out a chair and ottoman yesterday the price I thought was high and that the client could find it cheaper in store.  I visited Richard Allen's website  For a ottoman alone it was over $500.  The chair alone was over $1000.

Well Richard Allen is on the expensive side so I decided to look at Rooms To Go.  Their cheapest chair closest to the clients is $350.  Ottoman $200.

The price quoted was less than $1000.

The price includes labor and fabric. It's in fabric that went with the client's decor.  It's fabric she can't find on furniture in a retail store.  She got the chance to shop in home versus seeing something in a store, ordering it, and finding out it doesn't work in her home.

After shopping it and seeing what retail had to offer, I will no longer be saying it's cheaper to go retail.  The quality and options just aren't there.

How to use your basting/ tacking gun

Marion has struck again on YouTube.  Presenting her newest video on how to use your basting/ tacking gun which shows you how to put in and remove the needle and put the fasteners in.
